Vitalik Buterin Sees $42m in Weekly Gains
According to blockchain analytics platform Arkham Intelligence, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin’s crypto portfolio has grown by $57 million in the last week.
The portfolio held in Buterin’s publicly-known addresses increased by more than 14% from $396 million on October 17 to $453 million on October 24.
The increase coincides with a significant rise in the price of Ethereum (ETH), which accounts for the vast majority of Buterin’s holdings. ETH is currently trading at $1,835, a 9.4% increase from a week ago.
Buterin, a 27-year-old crypto billionaire, contributed significantly to Ethereum’s early days, holding nearly 247,000 ETH across various wallet addresses. As Ethereum’s share of the project increased, Buterin’s stake has significantly increased. He is known for periodically donating to charity and recently denied selling some of his holdings, claiming to be donating more money to charity.
