Rahman, Daler, Gaga Tap ‘M’ In Metaverse

Tech giants like Mark Zuckerberg believe metaverse will grow to a point where people will work, eat, play, and interact with one another always on digital realm. While metaverse is still a relatively new concept, several celebrities and influencers are already establishing their brand in the virtual world.
Here’s a look at how celebrities are influencing and participating in Metaverse:
A R Rahman
On his 56th birthday, Oscar-winning Indian music director and composer A.R. Rahman launched ‘Katraar,’ a metaverse platform for other musicians. In addition to his work, Katraar will feature musicians from around the world. The musicians will be able to upload their work and mint money off it which will be a long-term sustainable revenue model for them.
Daler Mehndi
Daler Mehndi purchased a plot of virtual land and named it ‘Balle Balle Land.’ The singer will be housing the Daler Mehndi Store on the virtual real estate bought at PartyNite, which is a metaverse platform. PartyNite aims to bring people closer, build communities, and offer custom offerings, where anybody can come and attend events.
Jake Paul
Jake Paul, a boxer, and entrepreneur has invested in the metaverse, specifically in the virtual reality metaverse Blocktopia, which is a Skyscraper made up of 21 levels to pay recognition to 21 million Bitcoin. Paul not only invested in the company, but also owns digital land in the world. Also, he gave away a piece of his land, which is valued about $100,000.
Snoop Dogg
The Iconic rapper rebuilt his mansion in The Sandbox, a metaverse platform where he has performed several times. Snoop Dogg is expanding his digital world with ‘Snoopverse,’ which includes tickets to private parties and Q&As. According to Fortune, some of these private passes are selling for close to $6,000 per ticket.
Paris Hilton
Paris Hilton has created ‘Paris World’, an island within the Roblox game. Visitors can see a digital replica of her Beverly Hills estate, complete with a dog mansion, walk along a boardwalk, and ride jet skis around the island. The currency of the game is Robux and all the activities performed in the game have a certain cost in Robux.
Lady Gaga
The trend-setting Lady Gaga has released a music pack for Beat Saber, which is a VR rhythm game set in the metaverse. Wearing VR glasses, players can slash the beats that come flying towards them. Other big names such as Green Day and Imagine Dragons have also released tunes for the popular game.
