YouTube Music Lets Own Playlist Art With AI

YouTube Music now allows users to customize their playlist cover art using generative AI. Users can tap the pen icon in the bottom right corner of their playlist’s cover art and select a category to create an AI-generated image.

The AI will then output five different images for users to choose from, and once saved, the image will represent their playlist.

This feature is only available for English language users in the US, but YouTube plans to expand it to other regions and languages globally. Previously, YouTube automatically created an image by merging the art for the first four songs in a grid-like format, aiming to capture the playlist’s feel.
